Our review of JAST Store
What the JAST Store is
The JAST Store is the download shop of JAST, a publisher and localizer of Japanese visual novels and dating sims. The about page says the company started in 1996 and gives an address in San Diego, California. The old address jastusa.com now shows a «We’ve Moved» notice and forwards to jaststore.com.
On 3 October 2026 the store catalogue held 924 entries: 834 games, 32 restoration patches, 30 DLC packs, 20 demos and 7 soundtracks. 802 entries carry the NSFW tag and 122 the SFW tag; 613 are tagged as visual novels. Besides JAST’s own releases the shelf includes titles from more than 100 other publishers.
Prices, currencies and refunds
Every title is bought separately; there is no subscription. From an EU address the prices appeared in euros: on 3 October 2026 a new release was listed at €10.65 instead of €13.32, another at €17.76 instead of €22.21. The currency menu also offers USD, GBP, CAD, AUD and CNY, and the terms say that prices may differ by region. Demos and some patches cost nothing. A purchase earns bonus coins, and the support page has forms for game codes and coin cards.
The returns policy gives a 24-hour refund without questions and a 30-day refund for technical faults that stop a game from running.
Platforms, languages and phones
Almost the whole catalogue is for Windows (908 entries); 87 entries list Linux and 79 Mac. English is available in 900 entries, Simplified Chinese in 337, Japanese in 111, Spanish in 27 and French in 16. The shop pages open on a phone, but the games themselves are PC downloads kept in the account library.
Rules and who is behind the shop
The terms are dated 24 February 2026 and fall under California law. An account is required for buying and for the library. The adult content policy describes a curated storefront with professionally produced, fictional illustrated works only: no user uploads and no real people. For that reason the site publishes an exemption notice for 18 U.S.C. 2257. Reports about content go to support and are reviewed within five business days, according to the terms.
