Our review of Rule 34 Paheal
Rule 34 Paheal: a searchable archive of fan-made adult art
The site describes itself as a place to search rule 34 pictures by character, series or artist, running since 2007. On 3 October 2026 the counter on the start page read 6,558,222 posts. The engine is Shimmie2, a booru-type board: a post list, tags, comments, a wiki with the rules and a tagging guide. According to its FAQ the archive is meant for fan art of established characters, series and memes; original characters, hentai manga and plain screenshots of the source material are not accepted.
Free to browse, accounts handed out by the staff
No paid plan, token system or price list was found on 03.10.2026: posts, tags and comments open without logging in. The sign-up page says that account creation is restricted. The FAQ explains that when the sign-up link is gone, an account can only be requested by e-mail, and the staff create one only for people who intend to upload artwork.
Ads and how the pages behave on a phone
The site is financed by advertising: banner blocks sit on the start page and in the post list, and the top menu carries three sponsored links to webcams, an AI chat service and a short-video site. During the robot’s check no pop-up window opened on load or after one tap; it counted 16 requests to ad networks and 8 third-party domains. The pages have a mobile viewport tag, yet the median text size was 12 px and only 5 of 17 links were large enough for a comfortable tap.
What the rules ban
The rules prohibit any material with real children, and also drawings in which a character looks like a child; the text adds that the canon age does not matter, while non-human characters are exempt from that clause. Photo fakes of actors are allowed only in character, and visitors under 18 are told to leave. Each post has a Report button.
Who runs it and what the legal pages say
No company is named; the contact is the staff e-mail. The 2257 page states that the site holds no pictures of actual human beings and therefore keeps no records, that uploaders must be 18, and that uploads are checked against the hash database of the Dutch organisation EOKM. The privacy policy says the site logs IP addresses and user names for moderation, does not require personal data and does not sell it. Artists can ask for removal by e-mail with links to the posts.
