Mullvad is a Swedish VPN built around privacy rather than features. At our check on 2 October 2026 it cost €5 a month including VAT, the same whether you pay for one month, a year or longer — there are no discounts and no tiers. You get an account number instead of signing up with an email address; cash is one of the payment options. One account works on up to 5 devices, and there is a 14-day money-back guarantee (not for cash or crypto payments). The live server list showed 566 servers in 50 countries, all on WireGuard plus bridge servers, and marks which servers Mullvad owns and which are rented. The FAQ says it stores no activity logs; its blog lists external infrastructure audits by Cure53 (June 2024) and Radically Open Security (2023). There is no free plan, and the site makes no promises about streaming services.
Why this matters for adult-site visitors: the internet provider or a work or public network sees only that you are connected to a VPN, not which sites you open, and where adult sites are blocked a VPN may restore access — check and follow your local law.
