Windscribe review: 3.9/5, recommended in Best VPN Sites

Windscribe: Canadian VPN with a 10 GB free plan and unlimited devices

Windscribe is a VPN run by Windscribe Limited, a company registered in Ontario, Canada. At our check on 2 October 2026 the free plan gave 10 GB of data a month after you confirm an email address. The Pro plan cost $9.00 for a month or $69 for a year ($5.75 a month), with unlimited data, servers in 69+ countries and no limit on the number of devices; a "build a plan" option charged $1 per location per month. Apps support WireGuard, IKEv2, OpenVPN, plus Stealth and WStunnel for networks that block VPN traffic, and include split tunnelling and the ROBERT blocker for ads and domains. The site says its apps are open source and that every server is bare metal. The refund rule is strict: only for the first payment, within 7 business days and with less than 10 GB used.

Why this matters for adult-site visitors: your internet provider or a public or office network sees only the connection to the VPN, not which sites you open, and where adult sites are blocked a VPN may restore access — check and follow your local law. A VPN does not make you anonymous: the provider sees your traffic and logged-in accounts still identify you.

Our rating is 4.0 out of 5: a generous free tier, unlimited devices and anti-blocking protocols; a narrow refund window and fewer countries than the largest networks.
