Our review of Toomics
What Toomics publishes
Toomics is a webtoon platform: Korean manhwa and other vertical-scroll comics released in episodes and read in the browser. The banner on the start page speaks of 50,000+ episodes for members. The genre menu lists Drama, Romance, BL, Fantasy, Action, Comedy, Horror, Thriller, Historical and Sci-fi; series carry labels such as 15+ and 18+, and many are marked as complete.
Family Safe mode and the 18+ catalogue
A first-time visitor sees the site in Family Safe mode: adult series are hidden and a notice says that some comics are not visible. Switching the mode off opens an 18+ age question. During the check on 3 October 2026 the mode stayed on for a visitor without an account after pressing Yes, and the next step was the sign-in window, so the mature catalogue could not be viewed anonymously.
Coins, VIP subscription and refunds
The terms describe two ways to pay: a recurring VIP subscription that opens the subscriber-exclusive comics, and coins spent on single episodes. The coin balance is split into web, app, bonus and gift coins. Paid coins stay valid for 5 years and bonus coins for 1 year. A refund is possible within 7 days of purchase if no coins were used. Amounts were not shown without an account on 3 October 2026: the payment page opened the sign-up form instead of a price list.
Sign-up, languages and cookies
An account is created with an e-mail address or through Google, Facebook, Apple, X, Kakao, Line, Naver or Yahoo. The interface is offered in 11 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Thai, Korean and two Chinese variants. The cookie notice says that cookies are used for personalisation, measurement and interest-based advertising.
Who runs Toomics and what the rules say
The footer names TOOMICS GLOBAL CO., LTD in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and TOOMICS GLOBAL UK LIMITED in Eastbourne. The terms set a lowest age of 14 for the service and an 18+ confirmation for restricted series. The content section states that Toomics prohibits content with illegal activities involving persons under 18, sexual activity included, and that non-consensual scenes may be moderated or removed.
All series are licensed and copyright-protected. Disputes fall under Korean law, while card payments processed by Checkout.com fall under UK law.
