Our review of Coolmic
What Coolmic is and what is on it
Coolmic is a licensed store for digital manga and anime with an English interface. Its terms of service, effective 27 March 2026, name WWWave of America Corp. in Texas, USA, as the operator, and the footer links to ComicFesta, the Japanese site of the same group. The genre menu seen on 3 October 2026 lists Romance, Mature Romance, BL, GL, Mature, Young Adult, Isekai, Fantasy, Drama, Comedy and Book Adaptations, plus a separate Anime tab.
The adult part consists of the Mature and Mature Romance shelves: many titles there carry an [Uncensored] label, and a large share is marked «Coolmic ONLY». This is a romance-led catalogue for grown-up readers, not an archive of fan-made doujinshi.
Tickets, the Premium Plan and free chapters
Reading is paid with tickets, which the terms call the Coolmic currency. Ticket packs are bought by credit card, selected debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay; prices are stated in US dollars. Tickets stay valid for three years unless a shorter date is printed on them. The amounts are shown on the Charge Tickets page after sign-in, so our check on 3 October 2026 did not see them.
A Premium Plan renews every month until it is cancelled, and the terms give no prorated refund for the remaining days. The Free tab lists chapters that open at no cost, and some titles are marked as free with the subscription. Series are sold by chapter or in volume format.
Account, age rule and devices
An account is free and is created with an e-mail address and password or through Facebook or Google. The terms allow only people aged 18 or older to use the service. Bought chapters can be reread any number of times, but they disappear when the account is deleted. The site states that it runs on smartphones, tablets and computers; a plain HTML request returns an empty shell, so JavaScript has to be on.
Limits worth knowing
The terms say that paid fees are not refunded and that a title may become unavailable in some countries if a rights holder asks for regional limits, without the tickets being returned. Support answers by e-mail on weekdays, Japan time. On our visit the start page showed a cookie notice and an NSFW switch in the menu; no language switcher was found, the interface is English only.
